Nominations are now being accepted for the positions of:

  • ABTA Vice-Chairperson
  • ABTA Treasurer
  1. The Vice-Chairperson & Treasurer positions are for a 2 year term. 
  2. Elections will take place at the ABTA Annual General Meeting to be held on Saturday October 22, 2022. The AGM will be held via online conference call.
  3. Duties of each position are listed on the Nomination Form.
  4. Nomination deadline is 12pm (noon) on September 21, 2022

ABTA values having a diversity of backgrounds and expertise on our Board of Directors and is currently seeking Members at Large to join the Board.

Member clubs are encouraged to share this opportunity broadly as anyone from the general community is eligible for consideration. Whether you are a parent of an athlete or are passionate about making a difference in sport, we want to hear from you.

Board members are required to attend 2-3 board meetings annually, including the Annual General Meeting that takes place in October.

Members at Large will possess skills that will be an asset to the organization, such as:

* Marketing Experience

* Law and Governance Background

* Non-Profit Experience

* Strategic Planning

* Policy Development

Other assets include: Strong problem-solving, communication skills and a shared passion for advancing the sport of baton twirling. Anyone from the public, with relevant experience, can serve as a Member at Large.
